職位簡介
Technical Sales Manager
PURPOSE: Facilitate effective communication regarding customer needs (on-going business, product development, and quality) between customer and Avgol and also within Avgol to enable:
  
Trusted Advisor Status – relationship which is a clear collaborative partnership and the individual is the “go to” person within the Avgol organization to achieve results
Value Added Solutions – Promote, enable, direct, and deliver solutions that are uniquely tailored to meet customer needs
Avgol Growth Strategies – Leverage value added solutions to maximize Avgol volume and profitability
      
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  
Manage customer technical relationships such that Avgol is perceived by each customer to be a market leader offering value added solutions enabling win-win situations demonstrated by our technical mastery, customer service, and entrepreneurial spirit.
Maintain a direct line of communication both internally and externally to insure pertinent account information is relayed in a timely manner.
Support global account initiatives: product development, technology transfer, product transfers, and other related needs.
Initiate, implement, and actively participate in new product developments and internal research and development efforts as agreed upon with the Commercial Sales Manager and with Vice-President of Innovation and Technology.
Identify business development opportunities through dialogue, in-depth understanding of customers, downstream consumers, converting equipment, as well as current products and services provided.
Own and manage the product development processes as it pertains to the assigned accounts from concept to commercialization through active participation using all necessary internal resources to achieve an on-spec, on-time, on-cost, and on-budget result. Own the management and execution of these efforts through the NPI and Stage-Gate process.
Understand that the business is global and 24/7, therefore the response time expectations are not limited to normal business hours
Manage commercialization activities of new launches including managing run out of materials to minimize any obsolescence and to ensure successful transitions to the new product(s). This would include supporting trials at converting operations of the customer as well as attending the production trials at Avgol plants as much as possible.
Maintain an up-to-date status of all internal research and developmental efforts.
Drive to improve intellectual property holdings
Provide process support to customers for material issues of any type, help analyze, troubleshoot and recommend changes/improvements as appropriate to maximize process efficiency and quality.
Evaluate the customer usage and insure the products are being used in an optimal manner.
Explore, define, and determine solutions or action items for prevention of technical performance issues which may or may not result in a credit approval process.
Maintain a working knowledge of product trends to insure they meet and exceed customer expectations whenever possible through development of strong relationships.
Manage semiannual strategic reviews with the customer and have direct responsibility toward any "scorecard results" published by the customer related to our performance as a supplier (quality, delivery, innovation etc.)
Be comfortable with a constant variety of deliverables from both internal and external sources. Significant administrative duties will be required at times, including familiarity with management of customer items in SAP, presentation creation skills, NPI system management and technical document creation/review.
